William B. Trattler, M.D.
William B. Trattler, M.D. is a board-certified ophthalmologist practicing at the Center for Excellence in Eye Care in Miami, Florida. Throughout his career, Dr. Trattler has been influential in the field of ophthalmology as a researcher, lecturer, panelist, authr, advisor, and board member. He has been recognized at length for his contributions, including the Millennial Award presented by Millennial Eye. He was also named to the Power List: Top 100 Most Influential People in the World of Ophthalmology.
Dr. Trattler has served as an investigator on numerous clinical trials for ophthalmic devices, therapeutics, and innovative cataract technologies, and he is a consultant for various ophthalmic companies. He has served in leadership roles for ophthalmic societies including the American-European Congress of Ophthalmic Surgery (AECOS), the Refractive Surgery Alliance, and the International Society of Refractive Surgery, and he has been deeply involved in the organization of leading scientific meetings. He is widely published, having authored peer-reviewed journal articles, abstracts, presentations, textbooks, textbook chapters, and non-peer reviewed articles.
Dr. Trattler completed his undergraduate degree at Dartmouth College and earned his medical degree with research distinction at the University of Miami School of Medicine. He went on to do his ophthalmology residency at the University of Pennsylvania, followed by his fellowship at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School.
